New Websites for DOLE

Two soft serve ice cream brands, DOLE® Soft Serve and Frostline® Frozen Treats recently launched websites for their brands. The two foodservice brands are a division of Kent Precision Foods Group (KPFG) of St. Louis, Mo. Previously, DOLE® Soft Serve and Frostline® were represented on the KPFG website. Now, each brand has their own website. “Both brands having their own website is exciting,” says Jamie Schwartz, product marketing manager for DOLE® Soft Serve and Frostline® Frozen Treats. “We anticipate that our operators and potential customers will have a better online experience getting straight to the information they need most.”

DOLE® Soft Serve’s website went live this June. The website has product information, serving suggestions and point of sale (POS) material. Visitors can find preparation instructions, flavor nutritionals, product benefits, case pack information and ingredients for each flavor. Also, DOLE® Soft Serve provides downloadable materials for operators. Social media links for Twitter, Facebook and the brand’s blog are also represented. Requests for product samples are generated from the new website’s “contact us” form and product can be purchased directly from the company store.

Frostline® Frozen Treats’ new website launched earlier this spring. The site allows operators access to product information for soft serve, frozen yogurt and frozen beverage mixes as well as the brand’s flavor packets. It highlights the benefits of adding frozen treats to food and beverage menus, provides more than 30 specialty flavor recipes and offers downloadable marketing and promotional materials. Operators can submit an electronic contact request form that is received by the customer service department for more product information. Redirection to the brand’s Facebook, Twitter and blog pages is easily accomplished from the new website.

Moonlight Melodrama Performed by the Golden Chain Theatre on the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad Steaming Its Way Through the Sierra National Forest

The popular and historic Golden Chain Theatre is performing a melodrama at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. Bonnie Belle’s Best Bloomers: A melodrama complete with hero, heroine, and villain.

The dastardly villain is viscously hunting for the gold mine at everyone’s expense. The well hidden gold mine is miraculously discovered and the hero again saves the maiden in distress and his town.This entertainment relates directly to the era of gold mines, coal mines, and Lincoln’s signing of the Yosemite Grant Act in 1864.

The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad is the restored railroad used for the Madera Sugar Pine‘s logging trains during the turn of the 20th century. It is located just south of the south gate to Yosemite National Park.

Mary “LuLu” Finley, Director of Bonnie Belle’s Best Bloomers, says, “This is one of the cast’s and her favorite events of the year. We all love going back in time with our local railroad and it is always a pleasure working with their staff. Renowned for the melodramas, historical plays and of course “Grub Gulch Grannies”, the Golden Chain Theatre is located two miles north of downtown Oakhurst on Highway 41, about 10 miles south of the Yosemite National Park entrance.

This performance will take place Sunday, July 20, 201 and again Sunday, August 10, 2014, The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad.

The evening begins with a BBQ dinner with a choice of New York Steak, chicken, or a vegetarian substitution. The meal is complimented with a summer corn salad, ranch-style beans, sourdough dinner roll, and dessert. Complimentary juice, coffee, and water is offered. There is a bar with sodas, beer, and wine for an additional cost. Guests will then board the logger steam train for a ride to the Melodrama, which will be “Bonnie Belles Best Bloomers” cheer the hero and boo the villain around the amphitheater stage. At the conclusion of the evening, guests will re-board the train for a memorable trip up the mountain in the night.

The event lasts approximately three hours. Reservations are recommended.
